Karla Harr obtained a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Public Interest Law certificate from Hastings College of The Law, San Francisco, California. She is a member in good standing with the California Bar.
After law school, Karla spent 2 years in Guatemala as a United States Peace Corps volunteer. Her time in Central America inspired her to become an advocate for people immigrating to the United States.
Karla has been practicing immigration law since 1995 having worked for Catholic Charities – Hogar Hispano, Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), and as a solo-practitioner for 10 years. Karla joined Montagut & Sobral in 2009.
Karla’s areas of expertise include: family-based immigration, waivers of inadmissibility, naturalization, NACARA, TPS, DACA, removal defense, U visas for victims of crimes and Violence Against Women Act self-petitioners, asylum and similar fear-based relief.
Karla is fluent in Spanish.
