Ellis Nottingham received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, and his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. Ellis is admitted to practice law in Virginia.
After graduating from North Carolina, Wilmington, Ellis spent a year teaching English to corporate clients and independent students in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He later worked for three years as a teacher in Charlottesville, Virginia before attending Law School at George Washington University. While in law school he spent two years as a law clerk in Fairfax, Virginia working on family-based immigration, waivers of unlawful presence, removal hearings, asylum seekers, and employment-based immigration petitions.
Ellis is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
